On June 1, 2010 SeaRoad Logistics acquired the Tasmanian general cartage and freight forwarding business of Chas Kelly Transport.
The agreement excludes the local cartage contracts for BOC, Bluescope Steel, One-Steel, Fresh Freight and Gunns (woodchips) which will continue to be serviced by Chas Kelly Transport.
As part of the agreement 38 Chas Kelly staff transferred across to SeaRoad and SeaRoad purchased 21 prime movers, 58 trailers & various other equipment.
